The Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS) in Lowestoft, UK, is looking for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst.

GIS technologies are now at the core of many areas of science delivery in Cefas related to fisheries, other human activities and the marine environment. To keep pace with growing demand, we are looking for a GIS technical specialist to contribute to our high level marine ecosystem and fisheries research.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The post holder will be responsible for providing GIS support on a range of projects across the marine environment. You will be responsible for developing GIS and mapping solutions for projects in consultation with a senior GIS Analyst. You will be responsible for providing advice and training as required to other scientific GIS users.
